Effective March 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Rights.dev (“Rights.dev,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and handles information when you visit rights.dev or submit an application through this site. Please read it carefully. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.
Application submissions. When you submit a founding membership application or developer access request, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, organization name, and your role or title. We collect this to evaluate your application and communicate with you about Rights.dev.
Usage data. We use Plausible Analytics to understand how visitors use this site. Plausible is a privacy-preserving analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sessions, and does not collect personal information. Data is aggregated and anonymous. No advertising or third-party tracking scripts are used on this site.
Verification query logs. Once the Rights.dev verification infrastructure is operational, every query made against the Rights.dev API is logged with a timestamp and the querying entity. This log data is owned by the rights holder whose licensing relationships are being queried. Rights.dev does not share query log data with other rights holders, licensees, AI platforms, or third parties except as required by law or as directed by the rights holder.
License agreement contents. Rights.dev does not collect, access, store, or process the terms of any licensing agreement. Rights.dev references licensing relationships only — who is licensed, for what rights, in which territories, and through what dates. License terms, royalty rates, and deal structure remain entirely within your agreements.
We use application submission data to evaluate founding membership and developer access requests, to communicate with applicants about the status of Rights.dev, and to notify members of governance decisions or changes to the standard.
We use aggregated, anonymous usage data to understand how visitors navigate the site and to improve its content and structure. This data cannot be used to identify individual visitors.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use personal information to serve advertising. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Application submissions are processed through Formspree, a third-party form handling service. Formspree stores submitted data on secure servers. You can review Formspree’s privacy practices at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
We retain application submission data for as long as necessary to evaluate applications and maintain founding membership records, or until you request deletion. To request deletion of your submitted information, contact us at info@rights.dev.
This site does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Plausible Analytics, our usage analytics provider, is cookie-free and collects no personal data. No third-party advertising, retargeting, or behavioral tracking scripts are loaded on this site.
Your browser may store session data or preferences locally, but this is not used to identify or track you across sessions.
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to request deletion of your information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@rights.dev. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, additional rights may apply under GDPR, UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Rights.dev does not sell personal information as defined under any of these frameworks.
This site uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
We do not load social media tracking pixels, advertising networks, or behavioral analytics from any other third parties.
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us at info@rights.dev and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Rights.dev service develops. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
